Welcome to Sapphire! If you’re reading this from your balcony with coffee in hand...perfect timing. If you're reading it before you get here, you're in luck....everything you'd want to do on your vacation exists here and you can plan beforehand. Every activity on this page leaves from Sapphire Beach Marina, so your commute to St. John or the BVI is a walk down the dock. No taxi. No ferry line. No 7am scramble to Red Hook.

We live here and run our boat rentals out of this marina, so this is the same list we tell our friends and guests when they're done with their day. Every trip is sorted by the kind of day you want, with real starting prices so nobody gets sticker shock at the dock. Check out our full guide listing on the Things to Do page of the website!

Sapphire Beach Questions We Get Every Week

  • Where do the trips leave from? Almost everything boards at Sapphire Beach Marina, a short walk from Sapphire Beach Resort, Sapphire Village and Crystal Cove. Seabobs are on the beach and Jammin’ Jeep picks you up at your condo.

  • How far ahead should I book? Parasailing, jet skis and the sunset cruise can usually be booked the day before. BVI trips, private charters and holiday weeks? Book a month out.

  • Do I need a passport for the BVI? Yes. Everyone needs a physical passport book and customs is from $80 per person, cash only.

  • Is fuel included? It depends on the boat. GoMojo and Island Mood include fuel. Shades of Blue and Flying Tiger II charge it separately. Check the card before you book.

  • Can I rent a boat without a captain? Yes, with GoMojo, the only rent-your-own-boat company on St. Thomas. Boating experience is required.

  • Should I tip the crew? Yes. On private charters, 20% of the trip price is customary and it’s usually not included.

  • What’s good for kids? Parasailing (ages 6 and up), Breakaway’s snorkel trip ($95 for kids), Mixed Bag’s inshore fishing, GoMojo's 20' RIBS for families and any half-day charter.

Have the BEST week...and come say hi when you walk the dock. We’re the ones with the GoMojo boats! Enjoy!
